Dear Friends of Needingworth Music Festival
It’s with much sadness that the organising committee wishes to inform you that, due to the ongoing C19 pandemic, NFEST will not now be going ahead as scheduled on 27-28 June 2020.
We’ve not taken this decision lightly, and in coming to this view we’ve tried to look at all possibilities from all angles. Whilst it’s still possible the lockdown and social distancing restrictions will be lifted in time, the additional complexities of life returning to normal in sufficient time to make the festival viable, as both a live music social gathering and vital fundraising activity for the Village Hall, mean that at the current time we don’t believe the Festival can go ahead.
We’d like to thank a number of people for their contribution to the Festival and understanding during this time.
Firstly the bands and performers who were due to play. You’ll have to take our word for it, but the line up would have been amazing! We will continue with our plans to make the next festival NFEST REWIND< – a retrospective celebration of 25 years of the Needingworth Community Music Festival.
Secondly our key festival partners, without whom the weekend would simply not be possible – the Pre-School, The Scouts and The Church.
And finally those local businesses who had already committed their support to the Festival through advertising and sponsorship. We hope to pick up our relationship with you when the festival can be rescheduled:
- Bryan Mutter, Tree Surgeon
- Hazell Flooring
- Latta Hire Ltd.
- Nikki Thurston, Foot Health Practitioner
- Eye Index
- Dominos St Ives
Thank you for your understanding. As the Festival is the Hall’s main annual fundraising event we will be looking into alternative ways to use the Hall to fundraise later in the year, when we can do so safely. Will will continue to keep you up to date with our plans.
With our very best wishes to you, your friends and loved ones – please continue to stay home, protect the NHS and save lives.
