As NFEST continues its look to the future that started with our Climate Declaration, we are delighted to announce that we have joined the East Anglian Festival Network (EAFN).

EAFN exists to bring together all the amazing local people (organisers, workers, venues, suppliers, contractors, traders, performers and Festival goers) that form the community that put on and enjoy over Seven Hundred (700!) wonderful East Anglian Festivals, Fairs, Carnivals and Fun Days held each year across East Anglia (Cambs, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk).

Membership means that NFEST’s organising committee now has access to an incredible network of organisers, suppliers and others committed to delivering great community festivals. It also connects NFEST into a wider range of conversations and movements supporting sustainable local communities and cultural events.

“We’re so pleased to finally be members of this brilliant network – and we hope to contribute as much as we benefit” said one of NFEST’s organisers, Gethyn Williams. “A few years back we were thrilled to make the Top 5 of the best community festivals in Cambridgeshire, as voted for by the public, through EAFN. It made us realise we were part of a vibrant wider community of music lovers and festival organisers.”

As part of our membership, NFEST has its own entry on the EAFN website and appears on its map of all other members’ festivals in the area. And as we navigate our path to net zero, membership also gives us the opportunity to learn from other Festivals on similar paths.

EAFN Membership is open to: Organisations and Individuals involved in the organisation and running of East Anglian Festivals; East Anglian Venues; and Suppliers who are based in East Anglia and provide a Product or Service that East Anglian Festivals can use. EAFN publicises and promotes the Region’s Festivals to Festival Goers across the region and beyond.
