What’s your favourite pizza – a pepperoni? maybe a classic margarita? Or perhaps you prefer a vegetarian or vegan option? Whatever your preference, Wild Dough has it covered.
This year at NFEST we wanted to increase the choice of hot food available and provide a greater range of meat-free alternatives – so we’re thrilled to welcome family-run, Cambridge pizza specialists Wild Dough and their fantastic mobile van to this year’s festival.
Chef and founder Ozgur Seker started his career as an apprentice baker 30 years ago, learning the best traditional methods and techniques from what he describes as ‘the masters’ – skills he is still using today. In fact even the name ‘Wild Dough’ was inspired by his formative experiences – Ozgur uses a wild yeast starter culture which produces healthy bacteria, grown in a natural environment.
Wild Dough’s purpose-built mobile van with wood-fired pizza oven guarantees each and every pizza is freshly baked within just a few minutes. Each is home-made from scratch and topped with their signature sauce and a variety of the finest locally-sourced and carefully-selected ingredients.
When we asked Ozgur why he wanted to support our festival and he simply said “Wild Dough would love to be part of NFEST to serve artisan wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas to lovely locals!”
And how could we disagree? It’s fair to say we like pizza! But more importantly, Ozgur’s approach also aligns to our environmental values as Wild Dough is committed to sustainable waste management – fully-biodegradable pizza boxes and eco-friendly plates made from recycled materials.
